Natural Catastrophe/state of emergency temporary Cancellation policy

In the case of a major unforeseen global or regional catastrophe, bookings made prior for dates during the event (up to 48 hours prior to arrival), are 100% transferable towards a new booking date or refundable minus a 10% bank/credit card processing fee.

Reservations made for dates after the state of emergency are subject to our standard cancellation policy.


Standard Room & RV Policy

Reservation Policy – To confirm a reservation, a 20% non-refundable prepayment is required. Units can only be booked by type, specific unit numbers are unavailable for bookings (requests are accepted but not guaranteed). The Northern Rockies lodge reserves the right to transfer or cancel reservations (cancelled reservations will be contacted via email).

Call-in Reservation Policy – Phone reservations can be made within 48 hours of arrival and are paid in full at the time of booking. These reservations are non-refundable, non-cancelable and non-amendable.

Changes & Cancellations - Any changes or cancellations to any reservation must be done in writing at least 48 hours prior to arrival, including your reservation number and emailed to info@nrlodge.com. Each date change to your reservation results in a 20% non-refundable change fee. (to make it easier for you, use the 'cancellations' link on the bottom of your Confirmation e-mail)

Pet Policy – Pets $30 per pet, per stay, payable at check-in. Pets are permitted in pet-friendly designated rooms only. Pets must be on a leash, cleaned up after and be accompanied at all times while on the Northern Rockies Lodge property. A pet which disturbs the peace and causes a disturbance to other guests must be removed from the property and with no refunds.

Guide/Service dogs - Guide dogs and Service Dogs are accepted free of charge, provided the customer shows a valid BC Guide dog registration card and advises the Northern Rockies Lodge at least 24 hours prior to arrival.

Check-in – From 3PM until 10PM. The Northern Rockies Lodge operates on Pacific Daylight Time from March through November and Mountain Time from November through March. Please note that the lodge is not open 24hrs, please contact the front desk if you are running late. Once the Front desk closes rooms which have not arrived or contacted the lodge will be considered a no show.

No-shows – Reservations which have not been cancelled by 3pm the day before arrival will be charged the full amount.

Check-out – 11am local checkout time.

Early Check-out – Once the check-in process has been completed, your room for the night is non-refundable. The standard Northern Rockies Lodge “reservation policy” applies to amendments, cancellations and refunds on multi-night stays. If you booked a multi-night stay at the Northern Rockies Lodge and plan to change your reservation, 48 hours notice must be given.

Child Policy – Children 12 and under stay free at Northern Rockies Lodge, provided that the number of children does not exceed the number of adults in the room. Discount kids menu available in dining room.

Visitor Policy –  Guests are allowed to welcome their visitors into their rooms until 9PM and up to the maximum occupancy number for the room. Afterward, plus $20 per person, per night applies.

RV visitor policy - Maximum of one RV unit per site, a site cannot be shared by multiple camping units (tents, RV, motor homes etc). For multiple units please book multiple sites.

Group and Long Term Stays

Lodge/resort facilities and common areas are only available for private guest use and must otherwise be reserved in a event booking. Groups of 8 or more guests, gatherings, events etc. must be authorized by Northern Rockies Lodge.

Room reservations for more then 4 nights or 4 rooms are only possible with a meal plan.

Extra Cleaning Policy – Northern Rockies Lodge reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee after check-out if extensive cleaning is required. The fee for deep cleaning a room where smoking has occurred or where a pet was staying without our permission is $500.

Campfires - please only use designated fire pits, open fires are prohibited on the property. Observe any fire bans in the region.

Damage to property and Missing Item Policy

  • Damaged or missing items from your rental unit will be billed at an invoiced replacement value, plus a repair and service charge.

  • The Northern Rockies lodge and its affiliates are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen guest items. If items are found on the property the Lodge has a “Lost and Found” program and items will be retained for 3 months before being disposed of.

Drones - As per Canadian aviation regulations drones are prohibited from flying within 5 miles of an aerodrome. This means that no drone is allowed to operate on the property of the Northern Rockies Lodge as we are located within an active aerodrome.
