Alaska Highway Itineraries

 

These route suggestions allow you to reach your day's destination in approximately 7 hours driving time per day.

British Columbia Circle Tour – 4263 km

Day 1 - Arrive in Vancouver, BC
Day 2 - Vancouver to Victoria
BC Ferries: Tsawwassen - Swartz Bay - (110km journey by public ferry)
Day 3 - Explore Victoria
Day 4 - Victoria - Campbell River - Port Hardy (498km total journey by car)
Days 5 - 9 - Explore Vancouver Island, Tofino, Pacific Rim National Park
Day 10 - Port Hardy - Price Rupert (21 hours / 520km journey with BC ferries)
Day 11 - Prince Rupert - Kitwanga - Dease Lake (725km total journey by car)
Day 12 - Dease Lake - Watson Lake - Northern Rockies Lodge @ Muncho Lake (530km total journey by car)
Days 13 - 17 - Daily fly out fishing to remote mountain lakes for lake trout, arctic grayling, rainbow trout, northern pike, walleye, dolly varden or spend a few days in a remote outpost cabin on your very own mountain lake in the unspoiled wilderness of the Northern Rocky Mountains. Or visit Virginia Falls in Nahanni National Park
Day 18 - Muncho Lake - Fort Nelson - Dawson Creek (693km total journey by car)
Day 19 - Dawson Creek - Price George - Williams Lake (644km total journey by car)
Day 20 - Williams lake - Vancouver (546km total journey by car)
Day 21 - Depart Vancouver, BC

This route can also be done in reverse.  All the roads are well maintained and paved.  The daily destinations are based on 6- 8 hours driving time each day.
